type typografhy use in SCORM design and content

Nov 29, 2019

Hi. When you import a PPT file into an Articulate work to then export it in a SCORM format, what happens with the typografhy that you don't have installed in your PC? It's necessary to install it before to beguin your work, or Articulate take it, convert it in a graphic format and then Articulate can include these text with the same looks than the originally typography anyway without the needs to install the typography family in all the computers destinations?

Hi Mario,

When you open a file, or in this case, import a PowerPoint file that contains font you don't have currently installed in your system, Storyline will detect a missing font and revert to a default font that is installed.

When you try to publish, it will keep that default Articulate font and will not have the custom font that was in the original PowerPoint file. You'll need to:

  1. Close Storyline.
  2. Install it in the Fonts folder in Windows.
  3. Restart Storyline and it should display in the Fonts dropdown list.

Hope this helps!
