I'm unable to access the content library (error message - "You are offline. Please connect to the internet and try again") while running Storyline 360 in VM Ware. I'm connected to the internet.
I've had that same issue at times in VMWare where my regular Mac is connected to the internet but for some reason my Windows side won't connect. After much troubleshooting, it was a simple reboot of Windows and VMWare that resolved it.

If you're still running into issue - take a look at enabling the network endpoints and ports here.
