One of our courses was created by a third-party vendor, but they provided us with the original Storyline file. We have to make some updates to the original content, but I am unable to edit the text boxes on most of the slides. I am not sure what is preventing this, as we have other Storyline courses created by this vendor and have no trouble making edits to it. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? Thank you!
The first thing I would check is the lock icon to the left of the text object in the timeline. If the object is showing the lock icon, click the lock to unlock it. Then the text will be editable.
The second thing I would check is to look at the master slide layout being used. The text might be on the master and thus it would need to be edited there.
If the first two suggestions above don't apply, be sure the text is not embedded as an image.
Finally, be sure you're not on a layer. The text may be showing through on the base layer while you're on a layer. You'll have to go down to the base layer to get to that text.

Hope one of those solves the problem!
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your quick response. It was the first one - they were locked on the timeline.
