Unable to Hear the audio file inserted in the slide

A few questions to help us try to narrow down what could be causing this:

• What Storyline 2 update are you using? (You can find this detail by clicking on the Help tab, then About Storyline.)
• Can you hear audio when previewing other projects? (To test this, let's open a new Storyline file and insert audio on a blank slide. Then, preview the slide.)
• Would you mind sharing the troublesome .story file (even just the slide with the audio is perfect) so I can try to replicate the behavior? You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by using this upload link. I'll delete it once we solve this puzzle!

• I am using Update 13: 1804.2716
• No, I am unable to hear audio in the other projects.
• I cannot share the file without my manager's approval. I have requested my manager's approval to share the file, awaiting his reply.

I tested your .story and .MP3 files in Storyline 2, Update 13, where I'm able to hear the audio clip play during preview. Have no fear, as we'll get to the bottom of this mystery!
