I've created a simulation training (show me/try me) in which the user can navigate to the previous and next slides. I have two slides that will not allow navigation to the previous slide. All slides will navigate to the next. I have set the slide properties for previous and next slide navigation controls correctly. I have also set the trigger to jump to the previous slides when the user clicks the previous button, but no change. Is there anyway to resolve this issue?
So for those two slides that won't navigate to the previous slide - the trigger is set to "jump to slide previous slide when the user clicks the previous button" or is it set to jump to a particular slide number? Does nothing occur when clicking on the previous button or does it direct you to the wrong slide?
It's also worth checking that your course adheres to the general guidelines here for working with Storyline files:
Thank you for the reply back. For those two slides, the trigger is set to jump to previous slide when the user clicks the previous button. When I preview the scene, if I click the previous button, those two slides will return to the initial state when revisiting based on the additional parameters to set for the entire scene.
I will save the file to the C: drive and see if that makes a change. Currently, the file is saved to an external hard drive. Unfortunately I won't be able to share the file as it contains federal proprietary information.
I'll follow up with my findings on any changes. (*crossing my fingers)
If the file was previously saved to an external drive, you may want to begin by conducting the import of the project into a new Storyline file that you save to your local drive and see if that resolves any lingering issues from not working locally.
If you continue to have difficulty, I'd also try starting a new file from your local drive and see if you can recreate the behavior there. If so, you can share that file with us so that we can take a look.
Unfortunately saving the existing file to the C drive may not resolve issues with the file itself. Were you able to conduct the import I mentioned to help resolve any corruption issues with the file not having been worked on locally?
Also, are you able to recreate the same behavior in a brand new test file that you start from your local drive? If so, can you share that version with me so that I can take a look at everything you have set up?

Hi Ashley,
I saved the file to the C: drive and the same issue persists. I have no clue why that occurs. I also tried the following:
Other than that, the slide plays as should.
Thanks,
Dominique
