Unable to publish to word

Hello!

I am having trouble publishing to word.

It is a large document but it just wont produce a document, it goes far too quickly through the publishing process and then when I click to view there is nothing. 

the other issue related to this is that i get the "circle of Death" and it could be doing it all day if I left it to it.

I checked the file where I am saving and although the folder is there, it is empty.

Can someone help with this issue? I have checked previous threads from years ago and tried various ways to resolve but with no success.
