Uninstall-Install problems

Hi guys!
I have some serious problems with Articulate Storyline.
1) I formatted my PC and installad Storyline 1 once again. I tried to launch it but it ask me to update Flash Player.
That's what I've done but the error message keeps coming up.
Then I read somewhere you have to unistall Flash Player 1.6 and install 1.5 in order to make it work.
Is it true?!
Isn't there another solution for this kind of problem?!
2) I wanted to try Storyline 2 and its features.
Again, I installed it... same Flash Player error message.
I tried to unistall the software with Storyline 1.
The first uninstall process (Storyline 1) went fine.
The other one (Storyline 2) keeps me telling that the uninstall process failed, but no more files related to Storyline 2 are in my computer anymore, just the voice "Storyline 2" in the list of softwares installed.
So I tried to install the latest update of Storyline 2 and even the installation process failed.
I am honestly shocked of how a paid software like this has such problems and no solutions.
Can you please help me as fast as possible?
I have a deadline that I cannot absolutely miss.

Hi Mary,
I'm sorry for the difficulty you've had. In regards to the Flash error, Adobe released Flash Player 16 on December 9, 2014 and, as a result, Articulate Storyline won’t open. Published content isn’t impacted.
To address this issue, we added support for Flash Player 16 in Update 3 for Storyline 2 and Update 8 for Storyline 1.
It sounds like you're having some additional issues uninstalling though, so it may be best to connect with our Support team directly so that they can help you figure out if the install files got moved or if there is anything else that could be impacting this behavior.
I am also having problems with a a Flash update. I uploaded the update, and I'm still getting the same message asking me to download the latest Flash player. I have the most recent version of the Flash player. The other person in my office who has Storyline is having the same problem as I am. I have a project I need to finish by tomorrow at the very latest. I have also submitted a support ticket.

I see that you've connected with our Support team, and you'll want to make sure that you've installed the Storyline update, that Flash is update on your computer (not just within a particular browser) and then I'd reboot your machine. If you're still having difficulty, please let our support team know so that they can continue to pull additional information about your system.
Oh dear. I've "blown up" SL2. It got slower and slower (17 sec to begin to show a save on smallish file) today so I read all of the community stuff I could find. Ended up downloading the update, which refused to do anything except uninstall... have
--manually removed vestiges of SL2 that I could find,
--run regedit to delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Articulate\Storyline folders
for 2, 2.0, 2.1, and 2.3
--reinstalled SL1 and run the 1.8 update to resolve FLash issues
and.... STILL downloading SL2, extracting, and running install as administrator only brings up the option to Uninstall which.. always fails.
Running an Asus i7 2.4Ghz with 16G of RAM. Windows 8.1.

If you haven't already it sounds like you may need to connect with our Support team. If you've manually removed elements of Storyline 2 (or moved them from their original location) Storyline may be having a difficult time finding those items to conduct the repair and our Support engineers will be able to assist in tracking those down.
Thanks Ashley-ended up doing a system restore from early January and a clean
reinstall of SL1 and SL2. That fixed it. Had the backup image ready to run
if needed.

Great Elizabeth - and thanks for the update! You will want to make sure that you're on the newest update of each so that you don't run into the Flash update error again.
