A tip in addition: I just experienced choppy transitions (I could tell by the template, which is the same on all slides). This was only the case for the slides that were imported from Power Point (the ones I added later in Storyline had a seamless transition), despite the fact that there was no transition on these slides: so 'transistions' was 'none' for each of the slides when you select them in Storyview.
I did what Phil recommended: select all slides in Storyview, added a random slide transition, and then chose 'none' slide transition again. After that all slide transition were smooth.
I'm glad you were able to resolve it - but I'd be curious what versions of Powerpoint and Storyline you were using so that I could test this? I don't see any issues reported to our team about slide transitions carrying over but not being visible.

If it is slide transition select them all in story view, choose animations and select none.
If it is animations on the slide, then you need to do this one at a time.
Thanks for that Phil, I just had a brain freeze on that.
Glad to see this thread was able to help you out Richard!

Hi Mirjam,

Can't get enough tips! Thanks for sharing this one, Mirjam 🌟
Looks like Ashley beat me to it. We'll be standing by for that information!
