Taking a quick peek at HTML5 using my iPad4/Safari, I noticed that animations are appearing about just under 1 second behind where they should appear, and do appear in Flash.
Has anyone else compared published animation timings in HTML5 to Flash?
I have the same issue, it only started happening after the recent Storyline update. I have them looking into it via my support case. If you'll notice that you can reload the slide via the seekbar, the second time the slide plays it appears to be "in sync". Hopefully they can get this resolved.
It's encouraging to know it isn't just me Yep, the delay in animations was new with Update 3.
I didn't want to get too persnickity, but the seekbar's white slider didn't show on my playback. When I loaded and closed a lightbox slide, the white seekbar (seeker) suddenly appeared, but it didn't advance with the audio.
So... there's another small problem I've seen. Anyone else?
10-4. I have had that issue as well. When disabling certain features of the player for select slides (appshare slides in our case) if I created a Play/Pause button or had a lightbox I would also see the seekbar appear intermittently even though it was disabled.
I am experience lagging as well with HTML5. Has there been anything that can be done with this? It is perfect with the Flash, so I don't want to make any adjustments, but need it to work on both FLASH and HTML5.
Yeah, I do a lot of animations and they are clearly not as smooth as in Flash. Just looking at how SL output is rendered in HTML5 (page loads every slide) I can see all types of opportunity for issues. Flash is designed for this type of stuff and HTML5 just isn't. It's a problem, but probably not one that will be easily resolved.

You're not alone.

Hi Hollie,
A lag or slowness in the HTML5 output is a known issue and connected to the general limitations of mobile Safari.
