Have downloaded update 7 for Storyline 2.0 but when I go to run it it says it is going to install the Articulate Storyline 2.0 program on my computer. I don't want to install the whole program again just the update so I am hesitant to run it. Does anyone know if it re-installs the whole program or just updates the existing one?
Thanks for the info. That's not good for us as we have a complex corporate IT environment and it often takes time to get programs re-registered due to all the program content controls.
The update is a full install as Wendy mentioned - there isn't a way to just take the updated portions. The program is registered (at least from our perspective) by the end user, so you'll see that after going through the installation you'll be prompted to activate with your serial number and then can register the software which sends your information to our Support team. In the event that you ever need assistance updating the info or lost your serial number that way they'll be able to look it up.
It sounds like you may need to connect with your IT team about installing this, but please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.
Ok, I have taken the chance and installed and what I feared has come upon me. I now have a trial version and it is telling me that my serial number is not valid.
Can someone please help me reactivate this program???

Sounds like you are in working condition again William. Is that correct? We do expect you to have to reactivate after each update and especially a re-install.
Yes everything is working but I am use to program updates that do just that - update the existing, installed, registered program, not reinstall it and then act as if I never owned the product in the first place. Anyway, all good after a few computer gymnastics.

Hi William
the update does a full install...when it finishes you will be asked to activate and register again.

Hi William
any way you can get it loaded onto a standalone machine?
No, not in our environment. Nothing is stand-alone

I have fixed this issue by doing a manual update. We should be able to replicate this for future updates.
