When I use the color selector, it's only showing me the top row of colors in my custom palette and there's no scroll button. There doesn't seem to be any way to get to the colors in lower rows, which makes it more difficult to select the colors I want. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to resolve it?
I'm sorry you're having this issue with the color palette! I would love to troubleshoot this for you! First, I have a follow-up question. There are multiple color selectors in Storyline 360. Is there a specific one that is causing the issue or is it all of them?
This issue is happening for me in all of the color selectors. For most of them, I can use the color selector in the top menu and pop it out, but there's no way around that for the background color palette. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it. I tried to re-install a previous version and that didn't work.
Thanks for giving me some more information on your situation! You may have already seen the support email from me. As mentioned, I've created a case to escalate your issue to our support team, so be on the lookout for a reply from them shortly!
Nope! The person who tried to help me said he couldn't duplicate it on his machine (of course not, if his machine didn't have the same bug) and just kind of dropped it. I even tried rolling it back to prior updates and was unsuccessful. I have been accessing colors from the top menu, where they can be popped out, but it's not helpful when trying to color a background. For that, I just have to input the hex key. I hope they fix it quickly - perhaps as more people report it, it will get on their radar.
I'm sorry you are having an issue with your color palette! I see you've opened a support case and are working with Phil. You are in good hands! If you have any questions about the case, please respond within the case via email.
I am experiencing this issue and have identified what I believe is the cause on my PC.
Over a year ago, I noticed that Storyline's interface looked blurry on my laptop screen but clear on my extra monitor. The solution I found and have been relying on was to change the Compatibility properties of Storyline, overriding the software's high DPI scaling behavior. (Screenshot 1)
This solution worked like a charm to resolve the blurriness on my laptop... until the color picker UI changed in Storyline. With high DPI overridden, the color picker shows only the top row of theme colors, and there is no option to scroll to see more. (Screenshot 2)
Disabling the override high DPI scaling setting immediately resolved the color picker problem for me. (Screenshot 3)
Unfortunately, it also brought back the blurriness problem. For me, the blurriness is more of a headache than having to pop out the color picker window from time to time, so I'll keep overriding high DPI for now.
I don't understand these problems well enough to suggest any solutions to Articulate developers, but I hope they can come up with a solution for both of them.
Best of luck, Emily
EDIT: Swapped .snagx attachments with .png versions.
HI Emily, I was able to correct my issue by changing the resolution back to 100% as it was set much higher. Sounds like you have figured out a workaround even though it's not optimal.

I tried changing the scale back to 100% from 125% and was able to see the palette again. I hope that Articulate can fix the palette so that it works properly at 125%, as I use that scaling setting for personal accessibility purposes. Using 100% is not ideal for me.
Just changed my resolution back to 100% again so I could access the palette. Now that I can see the whole palette, the eyedropper doesn't work. #annoyed
I'm so sorry to hear you're having difficulties when you've changed the scale of the color palette back to 100%. I totally understand your frustration!
I have gone ahead and shared this update with my colleague Mark who has been helping you within your support case. He will be in touch shortly via email. Thanks so much for your patience.
We'll continue the conversation over in your support case.
Thanks Renee, that has solved the issue for me too. But like you, using 100% rather than 125% scale is not ideal. It would be great if Articulate can fix this so we can use 125% and see the whole colour palette.

Was this ever resolved? I have just done the update today and am experiencing the same issue.

Very glad to hear I'm not the only one-It's very difficult to change colors when you can't easily get to them.

Hello Renee and Laurie,
Sorry to hear that you're still experiencing this issue. I'd like to gather some information to help clarify your experience:
Both of these information can be found by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting Display Settings.
I'll update the support tickets that you opened with these information once I have them!
I have 3 monitors.
Monitor 1 - Resolution 1920 x 1080; Size 125% (both recommended); 15 inches
Monitor 2 - Resolution 1920 x 1080 (recommended); Size 125%; 23 or 24 inches
Monitor 3 - Resolution 1920 x 1080 (recommended); Size 125%; 23 or 24 inches
Hi Renee,
Thanks for sharing your monitor setup! I shared those details with the support engineer working on your case.
