Update Problem??

So this morning before the new update I published to Review and everything was functioning properly. After the update, when I preview the project (a template) it works great. But, when I publish to Review no next button. All the triggers are correct on the slide master and slide itself and like I said it previews correctly. Any ideas?

Hi there David,

Thanks so much for sharing a screen recording of this issue. I'm looking into is now, and I'm seeing the same thing you are. Interesting thing is, this is only happening in Flash, but not HTML5. I created a quick sample file for you to test and compare:

From here, I’ll meet with my team to take a closer look, so that we can determine next steps. Sometimes my team catches errors in my logic and we don’t have a bug after all. Of course if that’s the case, I’ll let you know!

Depending on priority and risk, some bugs can be fixed very quickly, while other bugs take longer to resolve. I’ll let you know as soon as we have an update. Thanks so much again for letting us know about this, and I’m sorry if it’s slowing you down.

Hi David,

We have confirmed that this is an issue with the latest build of Storyline 360, and we really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Until we get an update on this issue, you can get around it by publishing to HTML5/Flash or HTML5 Only. Will either of those publishing options work for your needs?

is there a way to revert to the previous version?  We have a huge file that is due tomorrow and this is causing a large problem for us.  The file should not be the issue as it is still functioning fine on the computer that has not been upgraded.

I am working on uploading the file but it is over 60mb so not going well.

Hi, David and Tim.

Great news!  We just released another update for Storyline 360 and Studio 360, and included a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.  The items you'll be interested in are:

  • Fixed:  Change-state triggers for previous, next, and submit buttons wouldn't work in Flash output.
  • Fixed:  Some projects would display an Available Memory Is Low error and fail to publish.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

Please let us know if you have any questions, either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly, and we're sorry for the trouble!
