Great question. Once content is downloaded to the iPad (through the Articulate Mobile App Player) that version is that version. If an update is made to the content, the current version on a users iPad is out-of-date.
Two things come to mind: 1. Submit a feature request to send a notification to the user. Brainstorming here, but first thoughts are to incorporate the "Notifications" feature into the Articulate Mobile Player. The challenge here is how does the content know it needs updating? Since it's essentially downloaded and an offline piece of content it's "offline" meaning it's no longer communicating with a server. A notification would be nice, but there would need to be some sort of function within the offline course to "check" for updates every time the player is launched. Here's the link to suggest the idea > http://www.articulate.com/support/contact/submit.php?form=feature
2. In the meantime, the next (probably only) option is to simply put a marketing and communication plan into place. Perhaps an email to all users who have access to that piece of content that an update is available. Although the offline content won't be "updated" so much as a newer version is available. Some thought into the message would need to provide a link and instructions to download the updated version as well as how to delete the older version.
I believe there is a notification system already in place (I remember something from the beta), I think you need to alter the version number and use the same link
Never really took notes on this one, but I remember a second update on the mobile player that had this functionality. Not sure if it only works with AO, but I am sure it used the version number in the publish dialogue. (I could also have dreamt all this, but it is very vivid)
I tested changing the version number, republishing, and uploading to web server. The Articulate App did not alert me to a new version of the course. Bummer

How do you alter the version number?
Phil,
I don't recall that from the beta but if so, that's awesome! Got anymore details on the matter or can you recall any more information?
