My text boxes cannot be edited. When I click on one to change it, the text disappears. Sometimes if I try to click on the text box too many times, the entire slide disappears. I have tried uninstalling storyline and reinstalling as well. This project was working until I tried to upload a video into it. This is now affecting all storyline files.
Thanks so much for responding. I am working on a locally saved file on my c drive so that is not the issue. I have also tried repairing storyline as well as uninstalling and reinstalling and I am still experiencing the issue with all storyline files.
Since you've done some troubleshooting on your own and you're still experiencing issues, the next step would be to let our support engineers take it from here. You can reach out to them directly by way of this form. And please be sure to share your case number here so that I can follow along, as well. :)
It sounds like a corrupted .story file, or slide. Sometimes that can be corrected by starting a new file and importing the slides. I would start with trying to import the slide into a new file, or just rebuilding that specific slide.
This is something I've tried as well. My case # is #00969356. So far, the response has been that my software is not supported on Windows 10. Is there something else I can do? Possibly downgrade Windows to Windows 7 maybe?
Thanks for sharing your case number. Storyline 1 was released some time before Windows 10, and based on that it isn't supported as our team shared. You may need to work with your IT team to downgrade to an earlier version of Windows (you can see the supported set ups here) but unfortunately Windows 10 and Storyline 1 will likely continue not playing nice with one another and cause this problematic behavior in the files and the program as a whole.

Hi Kimberly! Sorry to hear you've run into these issues. Just to confirm, are you using Storyline 1?
Here are a couple of things I would recommend before we investigate further:
Let me know if this works!

Thank you for your suggestion, however, my issue is affecting all Storyline files including new ones unfortunately. I appreciate your response though!
