Hi, I have created some simple links to online PDFs in storyline, they work fine for me. My client keeps telling me the links don't work, they are using Firefox. I think this is a browser issue and not a storyline one, can anybody shed some light on this? Many thanks I really stuck to answer my client with a reasonable solution.
Anyone getting a purple/pinkish highlight around the text box set as a hyperlink when hovered on? It's almost like a hover state, but there isn't a hover state added. Not a huge deal, but kinda bush league. Would like to fix it. Thanks for the help as always!
It does sound like a hover state - and I'm curious if you changed the general hover color for hyperlinks? It's controlled by your theme colors as described here.
Have you tried changing the rectangle to have a line or fill element to it? Since there isn't a line or fill it's as if it doesn't exist and unless they're directly on the text - hard to click on. Even setting the filled to be transparent should work for you.
I actually have the same problem with PDF files in Firefox. I've added my Storyline files to Scorm Cloud, and when I click on the links with Chrome or IE, the PDF's open. However, when I try with Firefox, it says that a problem has occured. Did anyone fix this problem? If so, how did you do it?

Hi Al,

When I switched the text box with no fill or outline, the problem went away. Not sure what the deal was.
Thanks for the update Al.

Is this set up correctly? It still won't work. I had it working at one time. Not sure what happened. When I test the link it works.

I added a transparent fill. Still no love. I can't understand it.
Hi Al,
I tested it and uploaded your course here to Articulate Online - I did a transparent fill and line just to be safe and it all worked as expected.
So I figured it out. If I publish it to my desktop it doesnt work. If I publish in the Articulate folder under my documents it does work. ???
Hi Al,
Could the file path or set up for your desktop not adhere to the guidelines outlined here?

Hi Melanie!
This is not a common issue that we see. You can check out this thread as well with some more detailed steps/information.
What is the error that you are seeing when you click in Firefox?
