Hi Ide! The built in previous button will be defaulted to go to the previous slide visited, but you could certainly adjust the trigger if needed. If I've misunderstood or you need us to take a look, please share a .story file for us to take a peek at.
I just had a second thought and imported the original project into a new file and voilà - it worked! It must have been some glitch in the system but all seems well now. :-)
I am returning to this item since I have discovered the following:
In the 'Menu Settings' of the 'Player', I have set the 'Navigation Restrictions' to 'Locked' because I do not want a learner to repeat a slide question in the immediate aftermath of submitting an answer (I would prefer that the learner would re-take the assessment).
However, when this option is selected, the 'Previous' button on the 'Review' slide is inoperable.
Is there a default way of achieving both objectives or would I need to set a trigger?
Here's the difference between restricted and locked navigation:
Restricted navigation means learners can view the current slide and any slide they've previously viewed, but they can't jump ahead or skip over slides.
Locked navigation means learners can only view slides in the order you've designed. They can't jump ahead or skip over slides, nor can they go back to any previously viewed slides.
Sounds like you would need a trigger, but wouldn't navigating to the previous slide be the thing you were trying to avoid? Are you utilizing the retry option from the result slide to drive the user back to the assessment?
I have to use the 'Locked' mode because I don't want the learner to be able to edit the submitted answer before completing the assessment.
Unfortunately, a trigger is not an option on 'Review' because the 'Previous' button is not offered as an option ('Submit' is the only option). Hence my query regarding the removal of the 'Previous' button since it serves no purpose on the Review slides in my project.
Thank you for the sample .story file which is clearly what I want.
Can you (or any Hero) explain what is missing in the attached which is preventing the retention of radio button selection following its submission as an answer (thereby preventing its being edited).

Hi Leslie / Ayoub

Thank you for taking the time to reply, though!
If only voila solved it all Ide ;)
Thanks so much for popping in with an update and for sharing what worked for you as well.

Hi Ide!
If you are submitting the responses one at a time, the user will not be able to change.
Check out this brief example utilizing Restricted Navigation.

Hi Ide!
During the review is what you seem to be asking about?
It's due to the revisiting state of the slide set to 'Reset to initial state'. That will clear out the entry upon any re-visit, including the review.
Leslie, you're a star!
Problem sol-ved and another learning curve safely negotiated!
Grazie molto. :-)
Woo hoo! Best post I've seen all day :) Glad to be able to assist.
