Using a Button to Restart the Timeline
Jul 24, 2015
Hello. I have a "Start" button that launches a little animation by simply showing a layer containing a bunch of objects and sounds. I have an action on the layer to hide the layer at the end of the timeline. When the learner is returned to the base layer, they may want to view the animation again, but the Start button does not work anymore. I assume this is because the timeline has reached the end on the base layer. Is it possible to put an action somewhere to restart the timeline so the Start button becomes functional again? I don't seem to be able to find this in the trigger list.

Immediately after typing this I decided to put a trigger on the slide layer to jump to the slide again when the timeline ends on the layer. That seems to do the trick. But I'm always open to suggestions if there is a better way! :-)
Hi Shannon! Glad you were able to find a solution and thanks for sharing. I think that's what I would have suggested as well, but perhaps others in the community have suggestions :)
