Using a complex layered slide as a quiz slide
Feb 28, 2019
I'm building a simulator that models a two-way radio. I have the walk-through slide complete with all the layers, triggers, etc. I need to use the same slide in quiz so the student can demonstrate the steps needed for a specific task. Converting slide to free-form doesn't seem to have the capability I'm looking for. For now it looks like I need to build new Correct layer and additional variables and triggers to bring up that layer if they do it correct. Is there a simpler (read easier) way to do that. Slide is attached.

What constitutes a correct answer? When I reach a specific layer?
That would have been a handy piece of information. The end result is the CHL 072 - Copied to Guard 2 Complete layer. The rest are the steps to get there. They remaining layers change what the student will see on the screen to match what they'd see on the display in the aircraft.
You could turn this into a Freeform Pick one interaction. See the attached example. I added two offstage radio buttons as the answer choices. Once you get to the correct layer layer, the Correct radio button will be set. For testing, I added a button to the baselayer that jumps directly to the correct end layer.
Michael;
Thanks for the info and example, It's helped me keep moving forward with this project.
