Using a variable in a Multiple Response quiz slide

Jan 14, 2016

Hi

I have created a question which requires two responses.  I have included a list of possible responses which includes a third correct alternative.  Unfortunately, I am having difficulty setting up a variable which allows for the built-in alternatives.

If anyone could assist, I would be most grateful!  Please find attached, my feeble attempt! :-(

Thank you

Move the trigger to Submit after the three triggers to jump to the next slide, and it seems to work perfectly.

The Try Again and Incorrect layers work, but I don't think you can get the Correct layer to work if you are going to allow 2 out of 3 correct answers to be correct.

In that case, just have the Next Slide serve as the Correct feedback, and have the Continue button on the Incorrect layer jump to the slide following.

Hi Walt

Many thanks you for taking the time to reply.  Your suggestion has worked perfectly so I am up and running again.  I am still learning the craft, so your timely help has been invaluable.

Just as a matter of interest...any idea why the default 'Correct' slide is not appearing?

Thank you so much! :-)

I don't think you can get the Correct layer to work if you are going to allow 2 out of 3 correct options to be considered a correct answer.

The triggers you have to jump to the next slide if 2 & 4, or 2 & 6, or $ & 6 are selected jump to the next slide, bypassing the normal testing. This is what you want. If you want a Correct message, put it on the next slide. Then have that slide jump to the slide after it, which is the continuation of the project.

Incorrect answers do normal testing, and give incorrect feedback. This is what you want. Change the "Continue" button on the incorrect slide to jump, not to the next sldie (which has the correct message), but to the slide after that, which is the continuation of the project.

Hi Walt & Ashley

just a quick update on the above.  When the user would choose the correct answers and click the 'Submit' button, the next slide would appear thereby bypassing the Correct / Incorrect / Try Again layers.

As there were a number of possible correct answers, I set up a series of triggers which allow for the display of the 'Correct' layer by including conditions which offered the  combination of all possible correct answers.

Many thanks again for such great support.  I'm sure I will pop up again shortly with another question! :-)
