Using cue points with a text box
Aug 07, 2014
I have a short video where I have added a text box to hide some data in the video. I want this text box to show, and then disappear for a few seconds, and then appear again. From reading a tutorial on cue point I think this is how I would need to do it. So at the start of the video where the text box will appear for about 14 seconds, I will create a cue and align the text box to the cue. Then I will move on the timeline and have the text box reappear- do I use the same text box item or do I need to create a copy of it for it to appear again, let's say at 22 seconds?

Hi MIchele
if I get you right, you need to create a copy of the text box and make it appear and disappear again.
Joanna's idea is the simplest way. An alternative would be to mess around with states but that's unnecessarily complicating it.
Have attached a demo for you.
Thank you both. Simpler is better! I made a copy of the text box and named it a new name, then aligned it to the cue point and that seems to work as I intended.
