Hi, I have Articulate 360 on my work laptop and also installed on my personal iMac using the VM / windows software. I have created the course I am working on in Storyline 360 on the laptop - can anyone advise me if there is a way that i can work on the same course via the iMac. When i open Storyline on iMac with same log in details my courses don't appear?
I don't believe 360 saves cloud versions of your files to transfer to other machines where your account is logged in to the desktop application. You would probably need to save your files on a network or cloud drive to access them on your iMac. However, I know the Articulate staff recommends moving your project files to a local drive before working on them in order to minimize bugs and glitches.
I used to use a PC and a macbook pro back and forth via DropBox and the most significant issue was fonts going back and forth. Hope that helps.
Yes, my understanding is that the individual project files are all local. However, the updates and program files are pushed down from the cloud through the desktop application.
Luke is correct - all project files are local. You'll always want to save and publish on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of project resources due to latency.
You can place a copy of your project on a network drive or an external drive for backup purposes, but avoid re-opening the file until you've moved it back to your local hard drive.

If I read this correctly, the 360 runs in the cloud with minimal program files saved locally? The files that are saved locally are project files?
Can users save the project to a thumb drive or Google Drive and access it that way?
