I'm using Storyline 360 and I'm customizing the tab order on each slide, but I'd like to also customize the tab order in the player. Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it? When I select tab now after previewing the entire project, the whole menu (table of contents) section is selected. Does anyone know how the screen reader reads it ? please see attached picture for example.
How do you skip the navigation elements in the player? Do you know if the reader says each item in the menu or if it just says "menu" when it's selected in the tab order?
When you press the Tab key after the last object on the slide, the screen reader will instruct you to press the spacebar or Enter key if you want to skip player navigation.
If you press the spacebar or Enter key, your next tab will jump back to the first object on the slide.
If you don't press the spacebar or Enter key, your next tab will proceed to the player navigation.
The option to skip player navigation when using a screen reader is always enabled.
As for the menu, it'll only read out the menu items when they're highlighted which you can navigate too with the up/down arrows.

Hi Debbie!
Although you can't customize the tab order of player navigation elements, you can skip them when you're tabbing through a slide with a screen reader. Let me know if that's what you had in mind!

Thanks!

Hi Debbie,
It looks like Alyssa's link didn't work - so I copied the content here for you:
Here's how it works:
The option to skip player navigation when using a screen reader is always enabled.
As for the menu, it'll only read out the menu items when they're highlighted which you can navigate too with the up/down arrows.
Thank you very much! That is very helpful.
