Using states combinations to show layers

Sep 23, 2019

Hi!

I have been trying to create an interaction where the user can try different button combinations to see what happens. I have tried using both variables and button states to achieve showing different layers depending on what combination the buttons are clicked. It works in some combinations, for example when both buttons are clicked (selected). The problem is to change layer once the layer "engine of power on" has been shown, and to show the layer "engine off power off" doesnt work at all. All other layers seems to work.

Any suggestions?

Hi Lottie,

I think you have made two posts for this specific state combinations and layers of your project. I have responded to the other one but i just thought of posting it here as well:

"Hi Lottie,

Good morning!

It must have been challenging for the combination to work as you have to make a lot of triggers. I've had some challenges too when i did this in the past.

Anyhow, i have looked into your story file and made some tweaks to the slide triggers of your project. I have made this in the below sequence:

show layer "engine off power off"
show layer "engine off power on"
show layer "engine on power off"
show layer "engine on power on"

 e off p off

 e off p on

e on p off

e on p on

I have also attached the updated story file for reference.

Hope this helps!

Have a great week ahead!

Cheers,

Georvy"
