Using Storyline as a packager for a solution comprising mostly custom HTML5 pages (as webobjects).

Jul 12, 2015

Folks,

My company is beginning SCORM development and we are intending on creating most if not all of the content via raw HTML/JS. I am hoping to use articulate to provide the packaging and plumbing and perhaps utilize the quiz functionality. There will be links between the HTML pages that may be complicated by the structures created during web object import. (folder/index.htm for each page)

Given that most of the content is going to be comprised of multiple HTML pages imported as web objects, I was wondering if anyone else has done something similar. Is it worth my while using storyline in such a scenario given that i shall not be using the GUI tools for anything apart from a quiz...and perhaps the menu?

Thanks

Mick

Hi Mick,

Interesting query here - and I haven't seen a lot of similar questions.

I'm not an instructional designer or course creator (on the support team), so I'll defer to those folks. I did want to share info on how to add the web objects and what elements of the Storyline player you can use such as the menu.
