Using Storyline as a Storyboard before publishing to Word

I know that you can publish to word and add the necessary elements of a storyboard to that doc.  However, what is best practices to do most of that before publishing out to Word.  How can I do that within Storyline and have it display like a storyboard when publishing to Word?
