Using Storyline in Moodle

Feb 07, 2018

We have a number of courses developed using Storyline and we want to track completion in Moodle. However, we are not seeing the checkmark.

We have the Storyline reporting and tracking set to Complete/Incomplete and Moodle activity completion is also set to Complete. We have started experimenting with Grades and we started to see checkmarks but now it has stopped again. What am I missing?

Hi there Brad, you came to the right place for help!

Have you narrowed down whether this is a Storyline-related issue or a Moodle-related issue yet? If not, I'd suggested testing your file in SCORM Cloud.

If the same reporting issue happens in SCORM Cloud, we'll definitely want to have a closer look at your file.

Keep me posted on how it goes!

Hi Alyssa,
We have looked at all of the configurable settings in Moodle and have set them to the following:

Show complete when: Student must view activity
Status = Completed

Storyline Reporting and Tracking settings:

- View all slides

- Completed/Incompleted

I had another colleague run this module and Moodle shows the completion checkmark. However, I have tried to run it with a number of other accounts but it does not display completion for these accounts. I also uploaded it to Scorm Cloud but, after running it, it indicates it as being incomplete.

I will send you a link to the video in Scorm Cloud.

Thanks for your help,

Hi Brad,

It look like you tried to respond to the ELH notifications email to send us a link to that SCORM Cloud account and unfortunately it didn't come through. If you can generate a link and then copy/paste it here for us that would be the best way to share!
