Using Storyline like Powerpoint

Oct 23, 2013

I have bought Storyline beause i wanted to produce presentations which i can use :

- for elearning courses

- for a classical course with a teacher.

I have no problem with elearning but for the teacher it is not the case.

I am looking for a solution where the teacher could contrôle all the animation like in Powerpoint.

In fact a solution where the teacher have a full contrôle of the timeline. Where he can go forward in the slide or back as he wanted.

Is it possible ?

Is it possible to have a full  control of  the Playhead.

Thank you for the answer.

You can make Storyline perform like powerpoint but it is going to be a lot more work, and would probably be better top use powerpoint in this situation.

You can control the playhead by adding a seek bar to the player, to advance slides you will need to add a trigger to advance on pagedown and goto pref on page up

To control animations on click then the simplest solution is to use different slides, or add triggers to show layers on click

You will then need to sort out the logic to go backwards and forwards through the slide, it is possible but not ideal.

If you intend to run locally then I would recommend publishing to CD and running the launch_Story.exe to minimise problems.
