Using .storylinetemplate Files

Nov 18, 2019

Hi All - I have created a deck of Master slides and saved as a .storylinetemplate file. When I open the file and try to import content from PPT or a SL file nothing works. I keep getting an "test test test" error. I took a picture and attached it here. Any ideas?

I think my error has been discovered, but I haven't been able to confirm due to time constraints. Maybe you can help.

I created our Master templates in Master Slide View and did not build out any slides in the Story View. Was I supposed to build out  the slides in the Story View and then save as a .storyline file?

Hello Nikki!

There isn't an option to add a PowerPoint to a Storyline template. The PowerPoint would be added the way it looks prior to importing. Any changes that need to be made to the actual PowerPoint file should be done in PowerPoint.

You could always use the "Apply Layout" feature in the Slide Master, rather than importing templates.

To save a Storyline Template, build the slide in Slide View and then save as a storyline template.
