Using tab slide as a menu with multiple slides and layers

Sep 28, 2015

I ve set up a tab slide that acts as a menu of what the learners will be covering in the module. So there are triggers in place to keep returning to the tab slide to then move onto the next tab until all tabs are completed to complete the module.

Some of the tabs link to a separate slide with multiple layers.  My problem I am having is that I have noticed that if I try to redo one of the tabs, it goes back to the final layer of the slide rather than back to the base layer of the slide. So if someone completes all the tabs and tries to redo one of them for any reason, the second time round it seems to go back to the last layer of that slide.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to overcome this issue. I know one way would be to used separate slides rather than multiple layers but I do like the way layers 'house' all the information on 'one slide'

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Claire,

For the slides with multiple layers how have you set up their slide properties? You could look to use the "reset to initial state" and depending on how you've triggered each layer, it would start the slide over. Additionally you could look at adding triggers to hide the layer before the user navigates away from that slide. It'll depend on how you've set up the slides and layers to begin with and any other variables you may be using if you don't want them reset or adjusted.

Perhaps you may want to share a snippet of the course here so that folks in the community can take a look?
