Using triggers to close google Chrome tab/window after SCORM activity opened in Moodle

Jun 18, 2018

We're creating a course for students in Articulate Storyline 360, uploading the content as SCORM onto Moodle.

Our main problem is with how the windows are dealt with.

Currently, upon clicking the activity link, a new browser (Google Chrome) window [not tab] opens, showing the activity.

Once the activity has been completed, there is a screen that tells the user to close the window.

This way works perfectly fine, we would however like the 'close window/tab' to be completed with a button trigger in the actual Articulate content.

I've tried many many javascript code snippets etc. to no avail.

Any help and or knowledge regarding this query would be greatly appreciated.

Thank and Kind Regards
Luan

Hello Leslie.

Yes, I saw.
Thank you :)

In this thread I addressed a more specific variation of the problem I'm facing, by giving specific case details.

I have replied to Alyssa.
Her suggestion succeeded in marking my task as complete, but still the window does not close (until closed manually).

I've searched and looked around a lot to try and find a tried and tested ways to close the Storyline-content Window, and tried many of them myself too.
but I have yet to come across an implementation of either JavaScript or triggers that succeeds in what I need :\

As always, thank you
Luan
