Using Variables to populate a list
Nov 11, 2015
Ok I've done a bit of searching but haven't found anything so far.
Here's what I'm trying to do: I have 5 items on a slide, when a word pops up you have to drag it to the item you think it belongs in (there is no right or wrong) this happens a few times and then the next slide will display a list of the words you put in each item.
Currently I have a variable called "item 1", "item 2", "item 3", etc... and a variable called "word 1", "word 2" etc. When you drag word 1 onto item 1 the variable changes to "item 1" or whichever item you drag the word on.
I'm not sure where to go from there. I don't know how to display words associated with items based on these variables.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, I can't picture what you are trying to do but if you want to display a variable's text you can do something like this with a text box. "This is the text for the variable %item1%."
Hi, Jessica -- Thanks for your question, and I agree with Douglas. It might be helpful if you were able to share your file so that others in the community can get a better idea of how things are currently set up and make suggestions for what you're trying to achieve. :)
