Is there a way to validate that a user typed something in a text entry field before control loses focus?
I was trying to change a button state from disabled to normal after a user "starts to type" in a text entry box. I can get it to change when they click on the box or click outside the box but not when typing actually begins.
I am wondering if there is a trigger every time I type in the text field or I would have to constantly monitor the text field in JavaScript until the correct text has been entered.

Thanks Matthew! That's good to know.
Why are the links bringing up the download dialog box? Something wrong with this site?
Hello David and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
It looks like the links Matthew shared above are not links within our website, so that's not something I would be able to correct.
Are you running into an issue with your Storyline project that I can help with?
Well, I am looking up this topic.

Zsolt's is down hence the download
Ah it's Zsolt's site? Ah okay, that makes sense. Still looking for my solution...

I contacted Zsolt and provided me a link:
Checking text entry against key words and similarity
So going through it, it looks like the code detects whether a key strike in the text field is pressed and thus the animated hands move.
I will look into this further.
My site got hit and I had to rebuild it. It's up now. Most links and downloads should work.
