Value of variable is doubling (SL360)
Jun 04, 2019
I have a variable (slideCount) that is doubling in value. My slide trigger tells SL (360) to set the value of slideCount to zero upon entering the slide, and when a user selects an object on the slide the trigger is supposed to increase the value by 1. SL is actually doubling the value that I have in the trigger: if the trigger is set to increase by 1 SL increases the value by 2, if the trigger increases by .5, SL increases by 1, and if the trigger is set to increase by 1.5, SL increases by 3. Any suggestions? (Slide 1.7)
Thanks,
Chris

I placed a variable reference text box on your first slide, and the number incremented by one each time I clicked off one of the text boxes. Try that and see if it's performing as expected.
Hello Chris,
Here is an updated Slide 1.7 for you to take a look at.
Yes, the first slides are working correctly. Slide 1.7 is the one that is doubling everything.
Hi Christopher
I'm not seeing that behaviour it's working correctly and adding/subtracting only 1 as I select or deselect - see this Peek
Thanks Russell! The way you set it up is much easier. Even after all of these years, the designer/creative side of my brain takes over and never wants to think like a programmer. :)
