Variable based on quiz answer

Jun 10, 2020

Hello,

I have a quiz where I need to use triggers and variables.

I had set it up and had it working where a variable "Question1correct" is flipped to "True" when the "Correct!" feedback layer is accessed when a question is answered correctly.

I now need to change this set-up to one where there is no "Correct"/"Incorrect" feedback immediately upon submitting each answer. So that clicking "submit" jumps to the next question.

To summarise this query:

How do I set a trigger to change a variable to "True" when a user submits a correct answer – *without* using a "Success" Feedback layer?

Or do I just have to set up a blank/invisible Success Feedback layer which simply contains a trigger to change the variable to True and then advance to the next slide?

Many thanks.

Hello again,

I manged to do what I wanted by creating blank "Correct" and "Incorrect" feedback layers.

"Correct" layer just contains two triggers:
— Set QuestionA1correct to value True when the timeline starts on this layer
—  Jump to Next Slide when timeline starts on this layer

"Incorrect" layer just contains this trigger:
—  Jump to Next Slide when timeline starts on this layer

Just thought I'd post this relatively straightforward solution in case anyone had been looking for the same ..!
