Variable Display Issue

Feb 12, 2018

Hi there,

I recently updated Storyline 360, and ever since some of my variables are displaying the words 'sans-serif' before the variable data. I can't work out why so if anyone has any ideas or ways to fix this please let me know!

An example is shown on the screen shot below.

Thanks!

Hi Hattie.  Thanks for including your screenshot!  We've discovered an issue where "sans serif" is being added to the variable text reference when the text box contains text that has bold formatting.  It looks like "Bank Balance" in your example might be bold -- is that correct?

We're having a look at this behavior, and I'm going to include your discussion in our report.  I'll be able to update you with any new information as I can!

As a workaround in the meantime, would you be able to place your bold text in a separate text box from the variable reference?

Hey Hattie. I'm excited to let you know that we just released update 13 for Storyline 360! It includes new features and fixes - check them all out here.

One of the fixes addresses an issue where you saw “sans serif” in your text variable reference if the textbook contained bold-formatted text.

Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let me know how you make out!
