Variable error
May 20, 2021
I have attached a published link of a layer interaction I created. The issue is that the base layer comes automatically after layer 1. Can anyone please check and let me know what is missing. I have attached the source file as well.
Thanks in advance :)

Hello, Prachi,
The Slide Layer Properties are set to hide the layer when the layer's timeline ends.
You can turn that off by deselecting the checkbox.
FYI: Click the gear icon near the lower right corner to open the properties for the selected layer(s).
Thank you, Judy.
I was able to fix that using your suggestion. Here is the link: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/b53d338d-b14e-4291-8c95-78a51a6e65c4/review
My last layer says, Resume course- When the user clicks Button 3. However, I need to refresh the browser to resume the course. Is there a glitch? Can you please suggest?
Thanks again :)
It's not clear to me what issue you're encountering.
One should never have to refresh their browser to proceed in a Storyline course.
"Resume course" typically refers to what happens after a user closes a course and then restarts it. Do you mean "Resume timeline"? If so, that simply restarts the designated timeline from wherever it was paused. However, if the timeline has already finished playing, nothing will happen.
If you want to move to another slide or scene from the "last" layer, then use a "jump to" trigger.
If you want to hide the last layer and show the base again, then use a "hide layer" trigger. And if you want to replay the base timeline from the beginning, add a "jump to" trigger that jumps to the same slide. And be sure the Slide Properties use "Reset to initial state" for revisiting.
I wanted to replay the baseline from the beginning. Instead of "resume course" now I used "jump to slide" this slide, and it worked nicely. Thanks for a swift response.
Appreciate your suggestion.
