Variable Field Display Differs from Non-Variable

Hello! New Articulate Storyline 2 user here. I'm using a text field containing a numeric variable to display a "Slide X of X" notation in the upper right corner of a linear slide show. All the variable changes on next/previous are working, but I'm noticing that the variable number appears to render differently than the "of" and the static number (total number of slides) which are separate fields on the slide. Both are set to Open Sans (size 10), but the variable field font appears to be rendering at a higher resolution.

I've already come up with a solution to the problem by using a single text field that says "[%variable% of static]" so they will both render in the same way. Just wondering if anyone has noticed this and knows why it happens?
