Hi there. I need a little help with my project. Basically, I have five numbers in objects. When you click each number, a colored area comes out which will have text. What I want to happen is for the user to not be able to click one of the other numbers until they have hit the close button on the colored area with writing on it. I am sure there is a simple way to do this with variables. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot! It is on the first slide.
Without having looked at it. it seems to me that the easiest method would be to bring out the text on a layer which does not allow clicks on the base. Click a button to hide the layer, and any number can be clicked.
That would probably work. I guess I didn't include this piece of information, but I also wanted the disabled states of each object to show until the user clicked the "close" button.
Here are a couple of options. the attached sample is one way. Otherwise, you could set triggers on each layer to change the state of each button to disabled when the timeline starts on the layer, and put triggers on the "Close" buttons to change the state of each button to normal before it hides the layer.
