Variable for visited state not working

Oct 27, 2020

Hi

I'm trying to change the buttons to visited state only after the learner has clicked through the four images on the layer. I can't seem to figure out how to make the variables work. I've only added variables for the 'Assess' button and layer to test for now.

Would someone please kindly look at my file and let me know what I'm missing?

Alternatively, I'd also consider the option of the disable initiate state and then change to normal after a similar variable but when I tried this and tested, it doesn't seem to recognise the variables I've added.

I'm trying to get the learner to view all slides without skipping. Ideally it should be viewed in a specific order, i.e. Assess through to Review, but I don't know what's preventing the variables from working.

Appreciate your suggestions.

In the Slider Layers you duplicated the 'states' of the  buttons on top ( Assess,Scope etc.). That made it tough to see things happening. Also the images on the left on the Slide Layers dont have visual states. Making it also hard to see things happening.

Further using the default visited state has specific functionality. If in doubt, create a custom one because that works easier in most cases.

So i added triggers in the layers to change the state to 'AllVisited' and created a custom state for the main images. Removed the extra images in the states on the layers... and bingo..

Working nicely for Assess and Scope now..
