Variable isnt working
Jan 29, 2020
Hello,
I've created a small project that isn't working. There are 4 buttons on a slide that each take the learner to a topic. The NEXT button should only work after all 4 topics have been viewed. I created a variable "Continue" with a start value of 0. 1 is added to "Continue" when learners click the back button after visiting each topic. When "Continue" reaches 4, the next button should be active and take the learner to the next part of the presentation...but it doesn't work. Can someone shed some light on where I'm making my mistake? I've attached the .story here for review.
Thank you in advance for your support. :)

Adding to your continue variable might not work like you want it to. If the user visits one topic four times, they can advance. You need a separate variable for each topic to indicate that it has been completed. The first post has a sample attached that does what you want. Restricted Navigation requires the learner to visit all four topics in order, Mixed allows them to visit them in random order. After they are visited, a custom Next button appears, but you can easily change the trigger to reference the built-in Next button.
