I am creating a custom navigation bar in Storyline 360. Instead of using the built-in options provided by the player, I'm creating my own buttons with triggers.
The bar will have next and previous, play and pause and the caption button on it.
I have added the variable that enables the user to turn the captions on. Can you advise me on how to create a variable that allows me to toggle between on and off?

The built-in Player.DisplayCaptions is a True/False variable. You can use a trigger to toggle it on/off when the user clicks the button:
