Hi. I have two variables in a slide to prevent the learner from advancing to the next slide until both are "true". They work fine the first time through, but if the slide is revisited they start at "true". I have the slide properties set to "Reset to initial state" and everything else on the slide resets. I am monitoring the state of the variables with a text box with references to the variables.
hmmm... Not sure how resetting the slide to initial state would affect variables, as variables have the ability to retain info across multiple slides throughout the course, etc. Haven't done enough testing around this myself.
One thing you could try is setting the variables to False each time the timeline starts on your slide...

as Brian says variables are persistent across slide if you want it to reset then you need to add a trigger to do that
