Variables not setting appropriately when checking state of dragged objects.

Hi, 

I am using Articulate Storyline 2 for building some activities.

We are working on an activity- where we are trying to show an invalid answer popup if the user has submitted the activity without attempting to answer(without moving any of the draggable objects).

However, when I try to set a variable to false when the activity has been attempted, it's not changing . as expected.

Is there anything wrong that I am doing?

 

I am attaching two versions of the activity here

-- the first activity proceeds as expected, but has an issue - if the user hits submit without attempting also it registers as a wrong answer.

-- in the second one, even if the user attempts, the invalid answer popup shows up, 

I could have acheived the desired functionality with a regular drag drop but , I need the answers to be interchangeable in the corresponding option boxes.
