I have an eLearning for which we've built variants to set them to true before so they can move back to the main navigation page. The variants are set in response layers of a drag and drop Quiz. In preview mode all is working perfectly, however once published it's not working.
sounds odd that it would work in preview and not when published. Which version of SL are you using, which output are you viewing (flash or html5) and which browser are you viewing in.
Might help if you can share the .story file so people can take a look at the setup for you.

We've build it in Storyline 2 and viewing it in HTML5..
The browser we using is Internet Explorer 11
Unfortunately I'm not allowed to share the course due to Company restrictions.

SL2 previews in flash and IE is not a supported browser for HTML5 output - here are the technical specs for SL2

Looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email! No worries, this Peek video will show you how to remove it.
Are you unable to use Flash in your IE11 browser? Or use another browser such as Chrome to view the HTML5 output?
We tried it in Chroome and this works fine now...
