I have Storyline 2 and creating an interactive, video-heavy course with about 500 short (30 second) videos. I added the files directly to Storyline and, of course, the file was getting huge after the second round.
I've set them up to stream but having trouble with some of the videos not playing from the LMS. I've attached a copy of the error. The same video may play fine in one round but not another.
I recently heard that a newer version of Storyline allows you to add the files directly to the course, but has a feature to keep the file size down. Can anyone confirm this?
You may also want to take a look at how it behaves outside your LMS as I haven't seen that error before. You could test it in SCORM Cloud, which is an industry standard for LMS testing. Take a look at the article here for next steps.
Also, using a media streaming service like Vimeo or Youtube will allow for a much smaller project size and better playback as it won't rely on your LMS to host and load the videos. You can use the Insert Web object function to use the videos in your course.
Thank you for responding, Michael and Ashley! We are using a streaming service but it was still having issues. The only thing I came up with was spotty wifi.

Have you tried embedding videos from a different streaming service, like Vimeo, to see if they play consistently from there?
