Video compression formats

I have an MP4 video that is about 2 minutes long and it was showing up as about 70 MB, so the file size clearly needed to be reduced. I used the Wondershare Video Converter and the H265 HEVC compression format and it reduced the file size down to about 12 MB, which is where it should be comparable to others I have. However, SL2 will not allow that video to be placed. As soon as I try to insert it into the slide the screen flashes quickly and nothing happens. It won't let the video be inserted. Anyone else ever encounter something similar or have a good solution?

Have solved this issue by re-rendering the source file through Camtasia. Seems like SL didn't like the codec that was produced in the other file..
Thanks Whitney for the update and I'm glad you were able to get the video working.
@Whitney
did you re-render using H265 in Camtasia too? Additionaly, what's the size of the video in your output folder?
Hi Alexandros,
I'm not sure if Whitney is still subscribed, but you could message him using the "contact me" feature on his profile.
Yes, still subscribed. I did re-render in Camtasia using different settings for H265 and finally got it working.
Thanks Wendy for the update.
Hi Whitney, H.265 is not supported in Camtasia? Please explain how you managed to successfully insert a H.265 encoded video into SL?
Many thanks
