I'm using Camtasia to create videos using the standard profiles. I've tried base and main. The compression drop down is still greyed out. What settings must I use in order to turn compression off?
The video has to be .mp4 (encoded with the h.264 codec). If the compression dropdown isn't available, it's likely that your video is in a different format. For example, let's say that you inserted a windows media video, Storyline will need to convert to .mp4 so that the video will play on the widest range of devices. As a result, compression will happen during the conversion.
Hi Debbie! Was this an upgraded course? Can you replicate this behavior in a new file? If so, we may want to take a look and you can send your video and your .story file to our support team here.

Hi Leslie.
My video is .mp4 created using Camtasia encoded with h.264 codec and I tried using base and main compression profiles but it's still greyed out.

The answer was that it was an upgraded course. I created a new course with the same video and the option wasn't greyed out.
Thanks for the update Debbie. Sounds like you are able to address this issue then. You can import your file into a new course if needed.
