I'm producing a piece with many short video files on layers. These are local files published to story_content. I have set Video Tools Options to Show Video Controls - Below video. When I first published this, the control bar displayed and worked fine. When I viewed the published output subsequently, the control bar was not visible.
How are you viewing the published output? You'll want to view within the intended environment as described here, as viewing it locally could cause elements of the content or course to not work as expected.
To launch an html version from Google drive, which file is to be named index.html?
Also, is there a problem with showing the video control bar in html output?
You'll want to change the story.html file to index.html and set the sharing permissions to Public. Here are directions on working with Google drive to host content.
In regards to the video control bar, I haven't seen an issue when viewing the Flash (story.html) content - is it just not appearing for you? Or appearing in the wrong location? Could you share a bit more about what you're seeing - maybe even a screenshot or a link to the course?
My apologies, I don't see reference to HTML5 only in this thread?
The story.html file will allow users to access the content in the Flash or HTML5 version depending on how they access it as described here.
In regards to the video control issue, can you tell us more about what isn't working in the HTML5 output? Are you seeing this while viewing in Chrome on your desktop or in a mobile environment?

Hi Ashley,
My question has always been about the HTML 5 content. I also have no
problem with the Flash output.
