I'm working with video's at the moment (in storyline2). I am inserting .mp4 videos into my project and I want my students to see the video controls, which I add in my project.
However, when I publish the project in html5 and put it on a website, I cannot see the video controls anymore.

which browser are you using to view the SL2 html5 output? Only Chrome & Safari are supported as per the technical specs

I tested on both Chrome and Safari but I have the same issues. I cannot see the video controls.

if so and it's still not working can you share the .story file or even just the slide with the video on it.

I published your file and uploaded it to Scormcloud LMS for testing and the video controls are showing when viewed in Chrome.
Which LMS are you testing in?
We actually don't use an LMS. I don't know the technical details of it but we just put it on a part of our schools website without an LMS.
So maybe it's better to publish it in another way?
Your file was set to publish to LMS which is why I published to LMS.
I just republished using web option and uploaded to my webserver. It works exactly the same. See this link
You'll need to speak with your IT or web person. Publish the module to WEB and then give him/her the folder for them to load on your website.
