Hi, I have placed a couple of zoom regions in my video. When these zoom regions are in play, the video control do not show, they only show back up again after the zoom region ends. Is there a way around this? I have tried to move the controls but cant.
I don't believe so. The zoom region is basically zooming in on that part of the "canvas" so it's not going to show a player control that's outside of the zoom region. This would be the same if you built custom navigation buttons on the slide itself. If you zoom into a region of the slide, then the navigation buttons won't be visible until the zoom region is done playing.
For this reason it is a good idea to use ratios when using zoom regions, it helps when rebuilding your player controls that are suddenly massive when you zoom.

What are ratio's? I'm having the same issue when using zoom and losing video player controls. I need a solution.
I'm not certain that James is still subscribed to this thread, as it's about 2 years old. I see you're also working in this thread where Jeff seems to have provide the answer in terms of how the zoom works.
Yeah, I just don't have a solution. It's extremely limiting in function. It seems keeping something as simple as a pause button on the screen is not possible when zooming in on a portion of a screencast.
It's zooming the entire slide, so that's the expected behavior that the video controls you've added to a video on the slide may be hidden. As I saw in that other thread, Jeff recommended using the Articulate Player controls - and that'll depend on what you're other needs are.
You're also always welcome to share your thoughts on feature you'd like to see or a change in the behavior by sending in a feature request to our product development team here.

you could build some controls on a layer that are visible during the zoom
Thanks both!
